Coffee is the reason why Sao Paulo's population has increased from 30 thousand inhabitants to the 12 millions of today in only 150 years. After the Sugar Age and the Gold Rush, Coffee has been surely the most important part of Brazilian economy in the last century.
Italians, Japanese, Lebanese, Syrians and many many others came to Sao Paulo (voluntarely or not) in the soo called American Dream... Exactly, the American dream is not a USA exclusivity but involves Canada, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil between the others.
